Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Cheesy Breadsticks

  • Author: Mercotte
  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

These Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Cheesy Breadsticks combine the classic flavors of a Philly cheesesteak—tender beef, sautéed onions, and melted cheese—encased in golden, buttery breadsticks. Perfect as an appetizer, snack, or family-friendly meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon chili powder (optional, for a hint of spice)
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup thinly sliced cooked beef or steak tips
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Marinara sauce or queso cheese dip, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle.
  3. In a small bowl, mix olive oil and minced garlic together. Brush the mixture evenly over the dough.
  4. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and half of the shredded provolone or mozzarella over the dough. Evenly spread the thinly sliced beef on top. Sprinkle with garlic powder, oregano, and salt.
  5. Fold the dough over the filling, pressing down gently to seal. Using a pizza cutter, slice the dough into strips.
  6. Twist each strip to create a spiral shape and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle the remaining provolone or mozzarella cheese and a dash of chili powder (if using) on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Serve the breadsticks warm with marinara sauce or queso cheese dip on the side.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the filling. These breadsticks are versatile and can be customized with your favorite cheeses or additional toppings like sautéed mushrooms or bell peppers.
